What this tool does — and doesn't — host

IG Viewer does not host, store, or archive Instagram content. When you look up a public profile or story, our server fetches that content live from Instagram and displays it to you for that single request; nothing is retained afterward. Because we don't operate a media library or CDN of Instagram content, a takedown request aimed at removing a specific piece of content from "our servers" generally has nothing here to act on — the content lives on Instagram, not with us. That said, we take copyright concerns seriously and will review every notice we receive in good faith, including cases where our display of publicly available content is itself the subject of a complaint.

Submitting a takedown notice

If you believe content displayed through this tool infringes your copyright, send a written notice that includes all of the following:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorized to act on their behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • Identification of the specific material you claim is infringing, including the exact URL on this site where it appears (not the original Instagram URL).
  • Your contact information — name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

Send notices to [email protected]. Incomplete notices — missing any of the elements above — may not be actionable and we may ask you to resubmit.

What happens after we receive a valid notice

We review each notice promptly. Where the notice concerns content we can actually control (for example, a page or asset genuinely hosted by us, as opposed to content fetched live from Instagram), we will remove or disable access to it and make a reasonable effort to notify the party who provided the material, where applicable.

Counter-notification

If you believe material was removed or disabled in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address containing: your physical or electronic signature, identification of the material removed and its location before removal, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, and your name, address, telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the US, an appropriate judicial body).

Repeat infringers

We reserve the right, in appropriate circumstances, to restrict or terminate access for anyone determined to be a repeat infringer.

This tool is independently operated and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram or its parent company, Meta Platforms, Inc. Copyright concerns about content on Instagram itself should also be directed to Meta's own reporting channels.
